The spreadsheet shown below displays text labels for the Sex and Severity columns and displays numeric levels for the Age and Treatment columns. You can change the display of a factor column to use either ordinals, labels or levels.
Changing a single column
- From the menu select Spread | Factor then select one of the following options:
- Display Ordinals
- Display Levels
- Display Labels
Note: If the level values are the same as the ordinal values i.e. 1, 2, 3, the Display Levels option will be greyed out as it is unnecessary.
Changing multiple columns
- Double-click a column name or press F9 on your keyboard to open the Column Attributes dialog.
- Ensure the correct factor column is displayed in the Column list.
- In the Display factor as section select the required option.
- Click Apply to keep the dialog open so you can select another column or click OK to close the dialog.
