Duplicate Column

Select menu: Spread | Column | Duplicate

Use this to create a copy of a column within the spreadsheet.

  1. From the menu select Spread | Column | Duplicate.


A dropdown list of the available columns within the spreadsheet. Select the column to be duplicated from this list.

New column name

Specify the name for the new duplicated column. The new name must not match any column names that already exist in the spreadsheet.

Create as

The duplicated column may be created as a different data type by selecting one of the available data types.

Sort factor levels/labels

When selected, any text or variate columns that are duplicated as factors will have their levels/labels sorted in ascending order.

Insert missing values in rows excluded by filter

When selected, any rows that have been excluded by restricting or filtering the data will have missing values inserted.

Action buttons

OK Create the column and close the dialog.
Apply Create the column leaving the dialog open.
Cancel Close the dialog without further changes.
