Select menu: Stats | QTLs (Linkage/Association) | Data Import/Export | Load Genetic Relationship data
Use this to import genetic relationship for association mapping. It lets you import a kinship matrix or subpopulation grouping factor. When data are imported they can be added to the QTL data space for use within the QTL menus.
- From the menu select
Stats | QTLs (Linkage/Association) | Data Import/Export | Load Genetic Relationship data. - Fill in the fields as required then click Open.
Kinship matrix
Provides options for importing a kinship matrix.
Filename | This specifies the name for the file containing the kinship matrix. A kinship matrix can be imported from a Genstat spreadsheet (*.gsh, *.gwb) or from a text file. You can browse for a filename by clicking on the button. |
Matrix name | When a kinship matrix is stored in a text file this provides a space to specify the name of identifier for the matrix to use in Genstat. This field is disabled when a Genstat spreadsheet file is opened and the name of the matrix within the file is used. |
Subpopulation group
Provides options for importing a subpopulation factor. When a filename is selected the fields will be enabled appropriate for the chosen file type.
Filename | This specifies the name for the file containing the subpopulation group factor. The factor can be imported from a Genstat spreadsheet (*.gsh, *.gwb), Excel file (*.xls, *xlsx) or from a text file. You can browse for a filename by clicking on the button. |
Sheet name | For a Genstat spreadsheet or book file the names of the sheets within the file are displayed. Select the name of the sheet that contains the subpopulation factor. |
Available columns | This lists the columns within a sheet for a Genstat spreadsheet or book file, or lists the columns within the file for other file types. Double-click a name or select a name and button to copy it to the current input field or type the name |
Subpopulation factor | Specifies the subpopulation factor to open from the file. |
Add data to QTL data space
When selected the imported data structure names will be added to the QTL data space so that the names of the structures will be present in the QTL menus.
