Select menu: Graphics | Repeated Measures

Use this menu to the data for a repeated measures profile plot. A repeated measures experiment is one in which the same set of units, or subjects, is observed at a sequence of times to investigate treatment effects over a period of time.

  1. After you have imported your data, from the menu select
    Graphics | Repeated Measures.
    OR
Stats | Repeated Measurements | Profile Plot.
  2. Fill in the fields as required then click Run.

You can set additional options by clicking the Options tab.

Data arrangement

Specifies the form of the data to be used in the plot. You can supply the data as a List of variates or a Variate with time factor.

Available data

This lists data structures appropriate to the current input field. It lists the factors or variates for specifying the data. The contents will change as you move from one field to the next. Double-click a name to copy it to the current input field or type the name.

List of variates

Data variates for successive time points

Specifies the data at successive time points which are to be plotted. Each variate must contain the measurements made on a set of units at one of the occasions on which they were observed. Double-click a name in the Available data field to copy it across or type the name. You can transfer multiple selections from Available data by holding the Ctrl key on your keyboard while selecting items, then click to move them all across in one action.

List of time points

Specifies the time points along the x-axes of the graph. The number of time points must be equal to the number of data variates selected for the Data variates for successive time points. You can either type the time points in directly using either a comma or space to separate each time point or select the name of an identifier containing the values from the list of Available data.

Variate with time factor

Data variate

Specifies the data observations in stacked format where the times of each observation is specified within an associated factor

Time factor

Specifies a factor containing the time points for the observations in the data variate.

Groups on same screen

A factor specifying the grouping of the subjects where the means of the observations at each level of the factor are plotted in the graph. Double-click a name in the Available data field to copy it across or type the name.
